Low cost with Crow around? What rubbish. Crow is one reason the tuition has been jacked up. His building empire may suit his personal ambitions. It get his name in the paper. Got him named Time magazine's 10 ten, but new green buildings havent improved ASU's graduation rates and ASU is still a top party school. So take that Mr. Crow and do something about it.

Michael Crow needs to end his addiction to taxpayer money. Arizona is broke. We are contemplating the sale of the legislature building yet Crow continues to spend money litigating against professors who won their cases with the committee on academic freedom and tenure.
Proof that Crow is a bully and a bigot.

A ridiculous illformed and illconsidered decision! It is demeaning to the office of the President of the United States of America and to the citizens of our country to disrespect in such a public manner such an emminently accomplished significant and historic figure. Your shortsighted and narrow minded position is a loss to each of you personally, and more importantly to the students, faculty, alumni, and supporters of Arizona State University. Rest assured you will not be on our list prospective universities. SHAME ON YOU...

ASU West is close to being taught by all white faculty. Crow purged many of the African American faculty yet he continues to promote diversity. ASU will neither confirm nor deny that no African Americans have been tenured since Crow was hired.

Crow carries his bigotry to Arizona from Columbia where he was a main architect in the long running case Chichilnisky vs Columbia. That case settled favorably for the prominent Latina professor for a huge sum. ASU is on the hook for big settlements because of Crow's bad behavior. They've already paid out a lot of money as it is.

I, personally, think the budget cuts are ridiculous. I understand we are in an economic crisis and that sacrifices need to be made, but does it really make sense to destroy the future of the state and the country? In order to have intelligent people working to rebuild the economy, we need higher education. As a student at ASU, I feel the pressure of the possible budget cuts. I'm from out of state and here on scholarship, and if tuition rises or my scholarship amount/financial gets cut I will have to leave the university. I know there are many others in my position as well. Cutting programs is also a dangerous route. The state and the Board of Regents need to be wary and look at paths other than cutting funding. Although this is necessary, they also need to look to the future and think of what will bring in and create jobs and revenue, and higher education has the potential to do just that. I know funding will be cut, but these institutions are essential to the state and federal economies and should not be viewed as disposable.
